Outward Opening Alu-Clad Window (P31A)
This triple-glazed outward opening window with aluminium cladding delivers excellent performance and is suitable for extremely energy efficient homes including Passive houses. Build It named our Outward Opening Alu-Clad Window (P31A) as their Window of the Year 2023.
The external aluminium cladding ensures that the timber frame is protected from the elements and helps improve longevity whilst requiring minimal maintenance.
The technically advanced sprayed coatings give the timber enhanced durability and a superb finish, while the aluminium cladding is polyester powder coated. Both the aluminium cladding and the timber frame are available in a full range of RAL colours.
The triple-glazed unit is a 48 mm unit with argon gas filling, warm edge spacer bar and two panes of Low-E glass. Whole window U-Values are around 0.75 W/m²K.
The frame is available in depths from 94 mm to 122 mm. On the deeper section frame a decorative moulding finish is available.
